I love looking at old cards, newspapers, advertisements…. my thesis research even involved piles of old leaflets/advertisements from just about this era. That glimpse into the past, and what people might have been thinking, what was the “norm” – its such room for imagination.

    I love the vintage postcards.
I remember my Mom cooking beef heart when we were little – not sure if I liked it or not but I’m sure I ate it regardless. Not exactly my idea of a “romantic dinner” :)

Have a great valentines day ~

A great one to you too! My significant other (and husband of 24 years) actually brought me home chocolates last night! Darned near unprecedented! And quite welcome

Happy Valentine’s Day! What kind of stuffing goes with beef heart? (Love the irony there.) Yikes, that reminds me that I need to figure out something for my bunch. Hmm … I wonder how meatloaf or burgers in a heart shape ranks on the romantic scale? :-)

I so love the vintage look. Whether it was a simpler, sweeter time, I’ll never really now. But I like to think it was.

Am glad you’ve decided to continue blogging upon your year-end review. I learn so much here. And the reason I enjoy coming is exactly because you’re not an experiment. You’re the real deal in my book. And a fountain of truly useful information.

Hope you don’t mind, but we’ve tagged you for the Honest Scrap Award. : ) It’s an award for people who display transparency and honesty in their blogs.
