She’s growing into herself, you know what I mean?, sometimes they look so gawky and gangly and out of sorts. You can see the maturing in her face, not such a baby face any longer.
Kelle, I do know what you mean, her face is all grown up looking, and she is seeming to be her mom come back to me, now that I’m working with her each day, in addition to just feeding her.
Marcia, yeah, Jane is pretty spoiled, she’s messing up my rigid rotation/rest plan. I feel the need to offset her milk replacer. And we’re liking the grass too – it’s nice to see the green!
Michelle, it’s amazing how much her disposition is like Della’s too – which is a good thing, Della had her moments, not really being bomb proof until she was about 6, but she was really a pretty calm cow. Jane only got to see her once of twice – so it must be inherited.
Bill, the babies get milk and no grain just grass or hay in the winter, and Jane gets grass, hay, milk replacer, and a little grain. The cows and bigger calves get grass and hay.

She’s at that tween stage
Wait a minute…..you still have green grass??? How can that be? Ours is totally dead and now covered in snow!!! BTW, Jane is looking gorgeous!
Diane, yes we do, but Jane & Ty are the only ones getting it right now…everyone else is getting only hay. Our snow is gone now. Thank heavens
My goodness, she’s growing up to be a pretty little lady! Very photogenic girl!
Rae, being the resident spoiled calf she is pretty used to be the model
Jane has certainly outgrown the toddler stage! She is growing into a beautiful cow!
Susan, it’s going so fast, before I know I’ll be milking again
Noticing the GREEN grass also…wow…SO envious…Jane is such a sweetie!
Marcia, yeah, Jane is pretty spoiled, she’s messing up my rigid rotation/rest plan. I feel the need to offset her milk replacer. And we’re liking the grass too – it’s nice to see the green!
Wow, she has really grown and looks great!
TC, Thanks! I was hoping she would pass inspection at your place!
I was going to ask if this was Jane or an old picture of Della. She’s her mama’s girl!

What a big, beautiful girl Jane is becoming! Her back is so straight and I just love that heart on her forehead!
Chris, did you notice the one on her right foreleg? It’s staying heart shaped as she grows. I heart Jane!
She’s getting so big and grown up!
Steve, you’re darn tootin’ she is!!
She’s a really pretty young cow with a great face !
HWH, thanks, she is a pretty special girl
Before you know it she’ll be calving and you’ll be milking again……probably not fast enough for you though
Linda, the older we get the faster time goes by, and I can’t wait, we’ve been drinking “paint” from the store, and I would rather not.
do you only feed grass to your cows? or do they get milk and grain too? pretty cow.
Bill, the babies get milk and no grain just grass or hay in the winter, and Jane gets grass, hay, milk replacer, and a little grain. The cows and bigger calves get grass and hay.
Jane is such a pretty calf! My, how she’s growing too!
What a beautiful little lady she is growing into. Emily
Nice calf. I was just wearing milk replacer the other day. Don’t ask. You have grass wow. B
Buttons, yes, I wear that frequently too…
