Calves Are Due Any Day Now
May 11, 2011
Now the waiting game begins, May 10th was the tentative date for the first calf, or really when I should start paying more attention to the cows.

They’re just happy to rest a lot these days, relishing the cool and damp weather. Life for them is just coasting along, no worries until they have babies zinging around.

Good luck girls!

Those are some rather contented looking cattle, ma’am. Here’s hoping for an easy and uneventful calving season!
Jen, that’s what I’m hoping for
Yup. Good luck! They do look good.
What is the plant in the bottom picture? Thanks
White Dutch clover, with a four leafer. Hopefully for good luck…I found a spotted a 5 leaf the same day
Your place looks so peaceful there with the cows at rest.
I hope they all do well in their calving.
Look at the lush green forest and lovely green pasture…we are still cold and brown (for the most part) and waiting for green.
