Apparently Brussels sprouts are not so exciting to the feline hunter…

Bee-yooooo-tiful brussels sprouts! Do you have a tried and true method to keep those gray sooty adelgid things off?

LOVE your falling digital snowflakes…. although this week I believe you’re warmer up the mountain a ways than we are on the valley floor.

Yumm! I’m imagining them blacked on the stove, then eaten like french fries, all done low fat with only a little cooking spray.

what variety did you grow this year, I planted an OP that didn’t do well.

Ben, I’m still growing OliverF1, since I have a bunch of seed I need to use up. I don’t see it offered anymore…dropped by the trade or possibly a Monsanto affiliate offering? Anyway, BS is somewhat tempermental, I plant mine out in mid June, and top by Labor Day and the sprouts usually size up pretty good. A neighbor is having good luck with Falstaff OP, I haven’t tried it. Next year I am not growing so many. Too much work for the freezer, and they don’t stand the cold as well as cabbage. I’m planting just enough for fresh eating and that’s it.

That is one handsome kitty standing a lonely vigil guarding those sprouts. I’m sure no interlopers came near them while he was on the job!HA
