Mother’s Day

May 10, 2008

1913

That’s my Mom in the poke bonnet.  She was born in 1911, so I’m guessing this is about 1913.

It’s funny to see her in a hat, she never wore one for any occasion that I can remember.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom.  It has been such a cold spring, the rhodie at the schoolhouse isn’t blooming yet – I guess bleeding hearts, and Johnny Jump- ups will have to do… .  Their logging on Trapper, and Gerald’s place sticks out like a sore thumb!  But, the upside, we can see the mountain from the garden.

Honey bee in the garden headland, a rare sight anymore.

This is gorgeous! That does it! I want to come live with you. I like your yard better than mine. All we get are wasps and yellow jackets.

    Blessings!
