Who knew Black Gold was the traditional gift for a 35th anniversary?  Thanks Honey!

Or that you would spend your 35th anniversary shoveling out the manure spreader because it broke?  I did know nothing every breaks down when your not using it though.  Sigh.

Happy Anniversary! I was at the strip mall today. I think I would have rather shoveled out your manure spreader.

My husband remembers them breaking either Christmas or New Years Day!
Happy Anniversary, you are not the first to have plans interrupted though!

35 years! What a great milestone! He obviously knows you well and wanted to give you something you really like. I’ve been reading your blog long enough to know you really do consider it “black gold.” Congratulations! From my vantage point, you’ve spent your years together on a little piece of heaven.

It would be nice if spreaders came with a plan B…a hoist maybe.

I was just thinking about spreading manure. I think it’s time.

You know, if you would have just killed him you’d be out of prison by now.

I really like the cow applied method best, but the deep bedding works pretty good during the wet season. So that’s where we are at this stage of the game. Spreader is repaired and compost is almost spread 🙂

Happy anniversary, Matron and Mate! Isn’t it nice to have someone to shovel with?

[nodding] actually, it is. It says, “I’ve noticed what makes you happy.”

Just got back from a family gathering and checked in. Love your Black Gold! We finally got a manure spreader. Sure works great. There was many year of doing it by hand. Happy Anniversary, with a plus of having fun sharing the day with family and friends.
