Late Evening Staple Garden Pics

June 3, 2014

I like hilling potatoes.  It’s one of those jobs that kills two birds with one stone.  Weeding and hilling at the same time.  The dry garden is nice too, no irrigation in the way, just rows to weed, an enjoyable evening pastime.

I have no idea why the dogs like it so much either…I guess they figure I need babysitting.  I think they are really hiding from Grady, he demands play when they would rather just sit and look all regal or something.  He’s in the shop “helping” someone bleed brakes.  We’re all happy.

There ain’t nothing like being under a piece of equipment and having a helper come and make sure you’re okay….

I need to do the same thing, but we planted potatoes in a new area, so I’m not expecting much. So it won’t be nearly as pleasant, but I know that my dogs will be there with me, too. 🙂

    Aussies are natural ‘supervisors’.

Allisa, we’ve never had any the other type of dog except one GS and she was a good farm dog too, farm collies are the best.
