Our family has had many dogs over the years but the best dog ever was our Aussie, Boba, who died at age 8 of pancreatic cancer last month. She ruined us for any other breed. We’ll let the hurt ease a little and then keep our hearts open for another Aussie.

Our old boy, Jaco is 13 1/2. Cocker Golden Retriever, cute as a button and sweet as honey. He’s always been our tomato farmer, err, harvester, but this year he’s been all over the peas like mad. Snow, snap, shell, the boy is not picky. Trouble is his 1 1/2 year old 90 pound sister is starting to follow his lead. Good thing peas are almost done.

Stumplifter, I know, we have a 70 pound raspberry puppy…who has selective hearing 🙂 The peas were safe, but I dread carrot season 😉
