Congratulations to Jane. Looks like a job well done! I can’t remember, were you wanting a boy or a girl?

Oh he’s a lovely! (the need for follow up pix goes without saying…) Congratulations Jane. She’s done this all before so should be plain sailing from here. Does that mean you can relax and breathe a little now? πŸ™‚

Congratulations to Jane! And commiserations to MOH re the calf’s gender – but assuming all is biologically/physiologically well, then all is good.

Was up at 5 a.m. Had to check in. A great big sigh! A wonderful sight. Some TLC and rest. Soon the freezer will fill up. Here in our neck of the woods we have fires and unhealthy smoke and ashes now for days. With all that we are doing well with the garden. Our paint project got put on hold though. So happy Jane and calf are well.

Congratulations on the safe delivery. I remember the post about Jane and her mother producing a quantity of heifer calves … figures that the AI would give you a little bull. Looks like a beauty from this angle. More pictures when you can πŸ™‚ !

Can’t wait to tell my dad, just got home from celebrating his birthday with breakfast out on the town. He’ll be happy to share his day with a little (more) bull.

Purty cute. Betcha you were hoping for a heifer ; ) Doncha love the cloud nine dreamy look when they’re slurping down the afterbirth! Have followed your blog for quite a while and really enjoy it. Looking to relocate in Oregon in my twilight years. If it comes to fruition, would be happy to loan you a right fancy Red Angus bull Off to plant the winter garden and check in with the newly weaned replacement heifers.
