    Here in Cottage Grove, Ore. it was 39 degrees and still dropping at around midnight last night. Winterness is moving in.

    Chili for the chilly. We still have flowers blooming. So unusual for us at our altitude. In the past week the temps have been dropping. A fire in the wood stove in the a.m. starts the day. Your pic says it all. I soaked the beans last night. Only I am using a ham shank. Winter is coming.

      Bev, yeah this frost is a little late, I cut my dahlias instead of waiting for them to freeze. Cold coming this week down the gorge…brrr!
