I’m posting this pantry staple cookie recipe over at Simple-Green-Frugal Co-op today. Hint: it helps to have a bunch of winter squash on hand.

snow..what is snow? 80 degrees here and sunny on the first day of spring! ugh!!!
Crazy isn’t it!
Looks much more like a Christmas card than a first day of Spring card to me! I’ll go check out the cookie recipe, many of your recipes are becomming family favorites.
Shirley, well that was yesterday, now it’s gone and raining a mile a minute!
Thanks for the compliment!
That will make a great Christmas card…
Around here according to my family any excuse is a good excuse to bake. For today it is rain in the midwest for the week so I am baking cookies today.
CQ, sounds like here, my DH always tells me with a wink, “I think this recipe needs more testing…” as he is stuffing his face.
You’re getting our winter weather and we’re getting California’s! (I’m in Iowa and it’s probably around 80–75`F with 64% humidity.) I hope this doesn’t screw up crops for everyone…
This post is proof positive to my kids that we are NOT the only ones left still using up leftover squash and pumpkin from last year. Although maybe I ought to stop using the ones from 2010. Still, there are just so many great recipes … 😉
I do not miss the PNW after seeing this! I’ll take my 82F days and sunshine galore, tyvm!
