Happy Easter, Nita! Hope you’re taking a break. What’s on your menu?

You too! Oven-fried chicken, garlicky mashed potatoes, braised greens, & sweet meat squash pie. I’m getting hungry just typing this 🙂 Not much of a break, I need to get my greenhouses in order before turning the cows out, the clock is ticking!

Home-grown ham, new potatoes, spinach dip, veggies, apricot bread with last season’s apricots. It’s been raining all day, so I can’t do much outside. I did several articles for a couple of clients and am keeping an eye on the incubator: two chicks hatched and five more pipped so far. More rain and possibly a snow flurry or two tomorrow, so we may do a few more burn piles.

Love the vintage card.. My favorites are Valentines. We went from spring back a few steps. It is raining and blowing and the mountains have snow. We are having an old-fashioned cured ham and all the goodies to go with it. The wood stove feels so good! Happy Easter.

It’s cold here too, Jane cantered to the barn tonight, and the fire feels good as well. Now for a cup of coffee and off to start dinner!
